Anker’s new 5K MagSafe battery is slimmer and faster

Anker has released a slim MagSafe-compatible power bank that measures about a third of an inch thick. The power bank has a 5,000mAh battery, which may not provide two full iPhone charges, but it supports 15W Qi2 wireless charging speeds for faster charging. It is available exclusively through Apple's online and retail stores for $49.95 in blue or white. This is $10 more expensive than the older MagGo 621 Magnetic Battery, which is still sold through Anker's website. The older version has a thicker design and only supports wireless charging speeds up to 7.5W. The new power bank has a bidirectional USB-C port that can charge it or other devices at 20W. However, when both power outputs are in use, wireless charging speeds drop to 5W, and the USB-C port slows to 12W. The battery is compatible with iPhone models from iPhone 12 onwards and also works with Android devices that fully support Qi2 specifications. The power bank's slim design makes it a convenient option for on-the-go charging. Overall, the updated power bank offers faster wireless charging speeds and a more compact design than its predecessor.
