Announcing Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4 on Vertex AI

Vertex AI Model Garden is expanding its third-party models by adding Anthropic's newest generation of the Claude model family, Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4. These hybrid reasoning models offer near-instant responses and extended thinking for deeper reasoning. Claude Opus 4 is Anthropic's most powerful model, exceling at coding and complex problem-solving tasks. Claude Sonnet 4 balances performance with cost, surpassing its predecessor in coding and reasoning tasks. Both models are available as a Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) offering on Vertex AI. Vertex AI is a comprehensive platform for orchestrating production AI workflows, offering a curated selection of over 200 foundation models. By building on Vertex AI, users can orchestrate sophisticated multi-agent systems, harness Google Cloud integrations, and optimize performance with provisioned throughput. Over 4,000 customers have started using Anthropic's Claude models on Vertex AI, achieving impactful results such as accelerating software development and security. To get started, users can navigate to the Claude model cards in Vertex AI Model Garden, select "Enable", and follow the instructions. Additionally, users can find and procure Claude models on Google Cloud Marketplace and explore sample notebooks and documentation to start building.
