AWS is updating its Elemental MediaTailor pricing structure for ad insertion services. A new pricing type for VOD ad insertion is introduced, offering a 50% discount compared to live ad insertion costs. This change enables more cost-effective expansion of ad-supported VOD libraries. The previous tiered pricing model for live ad insertion has been simplified. The $0.75 per 1000 ads tier has been eliminated. Live ad insertion now has a single rate of $0.50 per 1000 ads. This streamlined pricing simplifies bill prediction for users. The new pricing structure includes $0.50 per 1,000 insertions for live streaming. VOD streaming ad insertions are now priced at $0.25 per 1,000 insertions. Both rates apply regardless of the ad insertion volume. The updated pricing is immediately effective and will automatically apply to customer bills. Customers with significant ad insertion volumes may qualify for further discounts.
