Teams often know zonal resiliency is important but struggle with the implementation. This includes assessing posture, prioritizing gaps, writing code, and verifying deployments. The new Resiliency Agent in Azure Copilot public preview aims to bridge this gap by integrating these steps. It offers a conversational interface for resiliency assessment and automated remediation. The agent acts as a layer on top of Azure Infrastructure Resiliency Manager, turning data into actionable guidance. It supports the continuous journey of application resiliency in three phases: Start, Get, and Stay Resilient. The current preview focuses on the first two phases, providing deployment-ready Infrastructure as Code and gap identification. Users can generate Bicep and Terraform templates for new deployments, ensuring resiliency from the start. For existing applications, the agent identifies non-resilient resources and provides cost-aware prioritization for remediation. It then generates scripts to implement zone resiliency for supported services. The model keeps users in control, facilitating faster remediation without sacrificing governance. Future updates will incorporate recovery orchestration and zone drills, completing the assessment, remediation, and validation loop. To begin, users should model their applications as service groups within the agent. Identifying resiliency gaps and generating resilient templates are key starting actions. The preview supports services available in Infrastructure Resiliency Manager, with guidance for more complex configurations. The ultimate goal is to make resilient-by-design the easiest path for all Azure applications.
