Anthropic's Claude AI Chatbot Expected to Gain 'Voice Mode' This Month

Three distinct voices—Airy, Mellow, and Buttery—will be available. Anthropic had previously hinted at the voice mode but hadn't confirmed a launch date. The discovery was made by app researcher M1Astra within Anthropic's code. This follows Anthropic's recent launch of a "Research" feature, designed to provide comprehensive, cited answers. This "Research" feature mirrors OpenAI's Deep Research tool. The overall strategy suggests a direct competitive response to OpenAI's advancements.
