Anthropic's Claude can now read your emails

Anthropic's Claude AI now integrates with Google Workspace, accessing information in Gmail, Documents, and Calendar. Enterprise customers gain enhanced document cataloging for faster, more accurate information retrieval. This integration aims to improve Claude's utility for scheduling and accessing data within Google's ecosystem. Enterprise users benefit from security controls for confidentiality, though details on other users' data protection are scarce. Google Workspace integration is currently in beta for paid Anthropic users. Anthropic also introduced a Research feature for comprehensive, systematically explored answers. Research mode provides citations for fact-checking purposes. This feature can be used with the Google integration to analyze information across multiple locations. Research is currently in early beta in the US, Japan, and Brazil for Max, Team, and Enterprise plan users. The updates signify an effort to provide more capable AI assistants across professional workspaces.
