Recently I made a banana bread with an ube cream cheese frosting and lavender sprinkled on top and it got me wondering if such a recipe exists for sweet potato jam or orange or white yam jam? The ube has a more earthy-leaning flavor that really tones down the banana and compliments the lavender, whereas sweet potatoes and other yams seem to have a more caramelized/sweet flavor and I wonder if that would work. I don’t know if I’m being blinded by the banana and ube being complimentary colors or that they are both grown in tropical climates, lol. submitted by /u/anonymous3synonymous
