App Store submissions now open... Note

App Store submissions now open for the latest OS releases

Apple is preparing to release iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27, encouraging developers to submit apps leveraging new features like Apple Intelligence and Foundation Models. Developers should download the Xcode 27 Release Candidate, build with the latest SDKs, and test using TestFlight before submitting. A significant change is that macOS 27 will exclusively support Apple silicon, with macOS 26 being the last to support Intel Macs and Rosetta. Developers can optimize their macOS apps by setting their Xcode build architecture to arm64 only. Additionally, new Time Allowances require developers to answer age rating questions, particularly if their apps include social media features. App Store assets need to be updated, utilizing new product page headers and search result assets, with design guidance and a preview tool available. Starting April 2027, all apps uploaded to App Store Connect must meet minimum SDK requirements for their respective platforms, built with the 27 versions or later.
