Apple's new account migration feature has a significant flaw: it doesn't properly handle TestFlight access. This causes issues where testers, after migrating their accounts, appear as existing testers with their new email address, preventing reinvitation. Removing and re-adding testers is an ineffective workaround. Generating a public TestFlight link provides a solution, bypassing the email-based system. This workaround, however, creates a publicly accessible link, necessitating access limitations. Updating testers' emails is not a viable solution; it's labor-intensive and unsuccessful. Providing a public link remains the only effective solution, even for private betas. Apple's migration process excludes TestFlight enrollment, personalized recommendations, and App Store review edits. Despite these issues, the overall migration process has been largely successful for most users. Apple seems to have successfully implemented the majority of the account migration, but the TestFlight integration needs improvement.
