Apple Becomes Second Company to Close Above $5 Trillion
Apple has achieved a market capitalization above $5 trillion at market close for the first time, reaching $5.005 trillion today. This milestone makes Apple the second company to close above this valuation, following Nvidia. While Apple has surpassed Nvidia briefly in the past, Nvidia currently remains the world's most valuable company with a market cap of $5.33 trillion. This new valuation for Apple comes shortly after a change in CEO and just before new iPhone pre-orders.
