Apple Continues Improving Apple Support App's AI Assistant

Apple is enhancing its AI-powered Support Assistant within the Apple Support app through recent updates. The Support Assistant can now address device-specific questions, offer diagnostic insights into device health, and guide users through troubleshooting steps. The app's interface has been improved, and the feature's tab now features an updated "Ask" label with a new icon. Apple has removed the "Early Preview" label, indicating a more official release. However, the Support Assistant remains limited in accessibility, not yet available to all users. Apple started testing the Support Assistant tool, utilizing AI for support inquiries, last August. The tool provides step-by-step solutions for common Apple-related issues. If the Support Assistant can't resolve an issue, users can escalate their request to Apple's support team. The improved interface and removal of "Early Preview" signal that Apple is moving into a wider role for the assistant. The ongoing development could expand the feature to more users than during the testing phase.
