Follow
Apple has officially confirmed the battery capacities for its newly announced iPhone 17 series models. These details are available on Apple's EU product pages due to energy labeling regulations. The iPhone 17 will feature a 3,692 mAh battery, a slight increase from its predecessor. The new iPhone Air is listed with a 3,149 mAh battery capacity. The iPhone 17 Pro is confirmed to have a 4,252 mAh battery, a significant upgrade. The largest model, the iPhone 17 Pro Max, will come with a 5,088 mAh battery. These capacities align with previously leaked information from a regulatory database. However, there is some confusion regarding whether these figures apply to SIM card tray or eSIM-only models. In the EU, the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max retain a SIM card tray, suggesting the capacities are for these versions. Conversely, the regulatory database indicated eSIM-only models have larger batteries due to the absence of a SIM tray. The iPhone Air is eSIM-only globally, ensuring its battery capacity is consistent worldwide. An optional MagSafe Battery is also available for the iPhone Air.
