Apple Releases Firmware Update for iPhone Air MagSafe Battery

Apple has released a new firmware update for the iPhone Air's MagSafe battery accessory. The new firmware version for the accessory is 8B25, an upgrade from the previous 8A351. Within the iPhone's Settings app, this update is identified as 99.0, replacing the prior 91.0. This marks the second firmware revision for the accessory since its September launch. Apple typically does not disclose specific changes for accessory firmware, but these updates usually aim to improve efficiency and performance. Accessory firmware updates occur automatically and silently, without requiring user action or instructions. To ensure an update, users can connect the MagSafe battery to their iPhone or Mac. The firmware version can be verified by attaching the battery to an iPhone Air and navigating to Settings > General > About > MagSafe Battery. The MagSafe battery is exclusively for the iPhone Air, offering up to a 65% charge increase. It features a thin and light design due to using the same battery technology as the iPhone Air itself.
