Apple Releases First Firmware Update for Beats Studio Buds +

Apple has released a new firmware update for the Beats Studio Buds +, with the build number 2C318, marking the first update since their launch in 2023. However, Apple has not provided any details on what the new firmware includes in terms of features or bug fixes. The Beats Studio Buds + are Apple's mid-range earbuds, featuring Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, microphones, and battery life. They come in several colors, including a unique transparent design that shows the internals. Unlike most of the latest Beats models, the Studio Buds + do not include an Apple audio chip, but instead use a custom Beats chip for better feature parity between iOS and Android devices. This chip supports one-touch pairing and setup, Find My integration, and Siri support, but automatic switching between devices is not available. The firmware update for the Beats Studio + is delivered over-the-air, and will be installed while the Beats headphones are charging and in Bluetooth range of an iPhone, iPad, or Mac connected to Wi-Fi. For Android devices, users need to download the Beats app for Android and connect the device to a power outlet to initiate a firmware update.
