Apple Releases Sixth Public Betas of iOS 26 and More
Apple has released the sixth public betas for iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 16, and tvOS 16, allowing public testers to experience upcoming features. These updates align with the latest developer betas, offering a preview before the official September launch. Registered users can download the new betas through their device's software update settings. iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 introduce a "Liquid Glass" design characterized by transparency and subtle light reflections. New Apple Intelligence features include Visual Intelligence for screenshots, enhanced Wallet order tracking, and Live Translation across Messages, Phone, and FaceTime. Image Playground offers ChatGPT-style options, and Genmoji allows for creating new emojis by combining existing ones. Photos gain a 3D appearance with Spatial Scene, and Safari features updated navigation. The Phone app includes Call Screening and Hold Assist, while Messages offers customizable backgrounds and polls. Apple Music gets an AutoMix feature, CarPlay a redesigned interface, and a new Apple Games app is introduced, with Preview now available on iPhone. macOS 16 also adopts the Liquid Glass design across its interface elements. Safari on Mac features updated tabs and a redesigned sidebar, and the Phone app is now accessible on Macs with Wi-Fi Calling integration. Spotlight has been significantly improved for faster searches and in-app actions. A new Games app with a Game Overlay feature is included, and Metal 4 is available for developers.
