Apple has declared the 2017 12-inch MacBook, the 6th generation iPad, and BeatsX headphones as obsolete. Products are considered obsolete seven years after their last distribution for sale. This classification means Apple Stores and authorized providers will stop offering hardware service and cannot usually order parts for these devices. However, MacBooks may still be eligible for battery replacements for up to ten years, depending on part availability.
