Apple is launching an Education Hub in Bengaluru, India, to enhance technical training for its supply chain employees. This hub will act as a centralized training center, with courses starting in March in partnership with Manipal Academy of Higher Education. The curriculum will initially focus on digital literacy and Swift programming and will be scaled up over time. Simultaneously, Apple is expanding its development courses at over 25 supplier facilities across India including digital literacy, coding, and manufacturing practices. These efforts are funded through Apple's $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund. Apple aims to provide employees with valuable new skills and career growth opportunities. The new courses supplement over 75 existing programs covering technical skills, professional development, and health education. Apple is also extending its robotics education program, launched in December 2024, to more supplier sites. Furthermore, Apple is expanding its Vocational Education for Persons with Disabilities program, partnering with Salcomp. All initiatives are geared toward employee development, safety, and workplace inclusivity within Apple's supply chain.
