Apple TV+ App Now Available on Android

Apple has released an Apple TV app for Android smartphones and tablets, available on the Google Play store. The app provides access to the Apple TV+ streaming service, which includes original TV shows and films, MLB's Friday Night Baseball, and more. Android users can sign in with their Apple Account or subscribe directly through Google Play's billing system. The app also offers access to MLS Season Pass, a subscription service for the entire MLS regular season and playoffs. In the US, Apple TV+ costs $9.99 per month or $99 per year, while MLS Season Pass costs $14.99 per month or $99 per season. Apple TV+ is also included in all Apple One subscription bundles with other Apple services. The Android app does not allow users to rent or purchase TV shows and movies on an à-la-carte basis or access their library of previously purchased media. The app was already available on Android TV/Google TV devices, but now users can subscribe to Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass directly through Google Play's billing system. The Apple TV app is available on a range of platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, PlayStation, Xbox, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV streaming sticks, among others. This release marks a significant expansion of the app's availability.
