Apple Updates Studio Display With Thunderbolt 5 and More

Apple has updated the Studio Display, alongside a new Studio Display XDR with advanced features. The standard Studio Display now features two Thunderbolt 5 ports for faster data transfer and power delivery. Its Center Stage camera gains Desk View functionality, enhancing video calls. The built-in six-speaker system now boasts 30% deeper bass. The higher-end Studio Display XDR boasts features like a 120Hz refresh rate and mini-LED backlighting, which the standard model lacks. Both displays share the same 27-inch 5K resolution, maintaining the original design. Key specifications include a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits of brightness. Pre-orders begin March 4th with a launch on March 11th. The Studio Display starts at $1,599 while the Studio Display XDR starts at a higher price. Upgrades like anti-reflective glass, a height-adjustable stand, and a VESA mount adapter are available. Apple includes a Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) Pro Cable with the displays. The Pro Display XDR and its Pro Stand have been discontinued.
