It is anticipated to receive the S11 chip, a significant upgrade over the current S8, promising faster performance and responsiveness. This new chip might enable features like on-device Siri and double-tap gestures, alongside increased storage. While advanced health features like ECG and blood oxygen monitoring are unlikely to be added, sleep apnea detection could become an option. An upgrade to the third-generation optical heart sensor is also a possibility. Rumors of a colorful plastic casing, similar to the iPhone 5c, appear to have been abandoned due to design and cost concerns. Therefore, the SE is likely to retain its aluminum casing. No price increase is expected, with the model remaining affordable for its target market, including children.
