Apple will now label apps on the App Store as "Made for iPhone Duo" for those optimized for the new device. Developers must use iOS 27.1 SDK or later to ensure their apps fully utilize the inner display, with toolbars appearing vertically. Apps built with the iOS 27 SDK will largely fill the screen but avoid the right-side status bar. Older apps will run in the center of the display with significant unused space.
