Apple is reportedly overhauling its HomeKit smart home platform to expand its presence in the market. This revamp includes developing broader ecosystem software for its devices and adding support for new categories of connected products. Apple is also collaborating with third-party manufacturers on new devices specifically designed for its Siri-powered smart home platform. New Apple TV and HomePod mini models, along with an all-new smart home hub, are expected to be launched on October 13.
