Apple is reportedly planning to launch its new smart home hub next Tuesday. A leaker known as "pdfu" suggests the device will be available in four finishes: Silver, Space Gray, Starlight, and Rose Pink. This color information was previously found within macOS code by a MacRumors contributor. Users will reportedly be able to create a "Photo Face" on the device, with preview art reflecting the hardware's color. This color customization may also extend to setup screens once device assets are released. However, a separate report from Mark Gurman mentioned only a standard gray aluminum finish for the hub. Gurman also detailed that the home hub will feature a roughly 6-inch square display. It is expected to come in both tabletop and wall-mounted versions. The tabletop model's design may incorporate a polished metal arm and a round base with speaker holes. This design has drawn comparisons to the 2002 iMac G4.
