Apple's Home Hub Borrows From the iPhone Duo's StandBy Mode

Apple's rumored smart home hub is expected to feature customizable "faces" for its display, with one identified as the "Photo Face." This Photo Face allows users to showcase pictures from iCloud Photos, including specific collections, memories, or shared albums. The setup for this feature will occur during the device's activation. Interestingly, the Photo Face for the home hub appears to be identical to one planned for the upcoming iPhone Duo. This visual includes a glimpse of setup screens indicating photo selection options. The home hub itself is rumored to have a 6-inch screen and a design reminiscent of the iMac G4. It is also expected to support various apps and widgets, and distinguish between users to display personalized content. Multiple idle display options, similar to iPhone's StandBy mode, will reportedly be available. The interface is heavily focused on clocks and photo slideshows. The smart home hub is anticipated to launch on October 13.
