Apple's iOS 26.5 Update Patches More Than 50 Security Flaws

Follow
Apple released iOS and iPadOS 26.5 updates today, along with various security fixes, urging users to update promptly. These updates tackle over 50 security vulnerabilities, covering a wide range of issues. The security support document details the specific updates included in the software. Although no actively exploited bugs were known, the documentation could inadvertently reveal vulnerabilities to malicious actors. Vulnerabilities fixed include issues in images, the kernel, Shortcuts, Spotlight, and screenshots. Several WebKit vulnerabilities were also addressed, preventing potential data access or crashes. Older iOS versions, like iOS 18.7.9, 17.7.11, 16.7.16, and 15.8.8, received security updates too. Similar to iOS, macOS Tahoe 26.5 includes nearly 70 security updates. macOS Sonoma 14.8.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.7.7 are also available for users unable to run the Tahoe version. Therefore, updating all Apple devices is highly recommended for enhanced security.
