Google Forms is introducing a new rating question type to enable users to collect feedback in a more engaging way. This feature allows users to customize rating questions by setting a rating scale level and including rating icons such as stars or hearts. The rating question type provides a more intuitive way to gather opinions from an audience. Users can analyze responses to these questions, including average ratings and visual distributions of ratings, using the summary tab of the responses section. There is no admin control for this feature, and users can get started by creating a new form or adding a new rating question to an existing form. To add a rating question, users can select the rating option from the dropdown of different question types and set the scale and icon of their choice. The feature is available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual Subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts. The rollout pace is gradual, starting on October 7, 2024, for Rapid Release domains and on October 21, 2024, for Scheduled Release domains. The feature will take up to 15 days to become visible to all users. Users can visit the Help Center to learn more about asking responders to provide a rating on a scale.
