Audeze launched the second-generation Maxwell 2 gaming headset at CES 2026, building upon the success of its predecessor. This new iteration targets competitive gamers and audio enthusiasts seeking enhanced immersion on both PC and consoles. Key improvements include Audeze's SLAM technology, designed to enhance spatial audio and improve bass response. The headset integrates 90mm planar magnetic drivers, capable of reproducing frequencies from 10Hz to 50kHz for detailed sound. Comfort is addressed through an updated suspension strap featuring ventilation and redesigned, easily swappable earpads. The Maxwell 2 includes an AI noise-canceling microphone, eliminating background distractions for clear communication. Connectivity options encompass a wireless USB-C dongle and Bluetooth 5.3 for versatile usage scenarios. The headset boasts over 80 hours of battery life and supports fast USB-C charging for extended gaming sessions.
