Audible's new plan is $9 a month and still includes an audiobook credit

Audible introduced a new, cheaper Standard plan priced at $9 per month. This plan offers a monthly audiobook credit redeemable for almost any title, even new releases. Subscribers also receive access to ad-free content from Audible Originals and Wondery+. This plan differs from the $15 Premium Plus plan in key aspects. Unlike Premium Plus, audiobooks downloaded via the Standard plan disappear upon subscription cancellation. The Premium Plus plan includes additional perks such as permanent audiobook ownership. Premium Plus subscribers also get access to sales and a curated library of audiobooks and podcasts. Audible anticipates the Standard plan to attract numerous new users. The new plan is currently available in several countries, including the US and UK. Finally, Audible is presently testing the plan in additional markets globally.
