Battlefield 6 is set to release on October 10th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game will feature both single-player and multiplayer modes, with the latter being the primary focus for fans. Returning multiplayer modes include Conquest, Rush, and Breakthrough, alongside familiar FPS staples. A new game mode called Escalation will challenge teams to control multiple capture points. Players can expect new maps set in Egypt, Gibraltar, Tajikistan, and Brooklyn, as well as a remake of Operation Firestorm. The game will offer four classic classes: Assault, Support, Recon, and Engineer. New gameplay mechanics include a Drag and Revive option and the ability to wall-mount weapons for reduced recoil. Environmental destruction will be a significant feature, with options for both high-tech weaponry and a large hammer. Players can participate in open beta weekends on August 9th-10th and August 14th-17th. This release offers encouraging news following earlier reports of development issues.
