Bclaf1 drives heart failure by recruiting Srsf2 to enhance Hand2 pre-mRNA splicing and pathological hypertrophy
Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) remains a major therapeutic challenge, and the role of Bclaf1 in its pathogenesis has been unknown. Here, the authors show that the Bclaf1/Srsf2/Hand2 splicing axis is a critical driver of HFrEF and represents a potential therapeutic target for HFrEF.
