Netflix's Black Mirror is set to release its seventh season next year, with a star-studded cast including Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti, Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi, Awkwafina, Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Rashida Jones. The cast list also includes some of the virtual crew members from the USS Callister episode, such as Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Billy Magnussen, Milanka Brooks, and Osy Ikhile. Series creator Charlie Brooker has been planning to revisit the crew of the USS Callister, which starred Jesse Plemmons as the chief technology officer of a game studio and a fan of a Star Trek-esque TV show called Space Fleet. In the episode, the crew revolts and escapes to the open Internet, leaving "Capt. Robert" stranded in the game. The teaser for the new season features the studio name Tuckersoft, a reference to the game studio in the interactive "Bandersnatch" movie. The cast names are listed in alphabetical order by first name and broken into eight groups, with cryptic phrases like "Too soon?", "A rose for a rose", and "Shields 58 percent" between the groups. These phrases could be episode titles, as the show often uses song titles for its episodes. The new Black Mirror episodes are already causing intrigue among fans.
