This first installment introduces a spatial analytics framework for precision agriculture that replaces arbitrary rectangular grids with Uber's H3 hexagonal indexing system. Using a simulated Iowa corn field, it demonstrates how to aggregate GPS-tagged agronomic data, validate spatial structure with Moran's I, and generate management zones using K-Means and SKATER, laying the foundation for more accurate variable-rate fertilizer prescriptions.
