Buttermilk frying

What happens if I substitute blended panko breadcrumbs for the flour? I am frying chicken and it’s marinading in the buttermilk mix. Can I dip the chicken into the flour then into the into the blended panko? Or straight from the buttermilk into the blended panko? Or should I take the chicken dip it into the flour, dip back in buttermilk, then dip in blended panko? Thanks! submitted by /u/Status_Conclusion727
