I bought a bag of frozen, uncooked buns. I wanted something easy but fresh tasting for a soup I've been making since yesterday.
the bag said to keep frozen until use. I thought that meant up until they go into the oven but reading the instructions it meant until day of use - they have to be thawed before baking.
Can I throw them into the soup to make drop dumplings? Or can they be baked from frozen? They are rock solid- dinner is in 2-3 hours.
I'm just worried they would be the wrong consistency or become huge in the soup, or if baked from frozen that they would cook oddly. Shall I just buy some buns from the bakery or would baking or boiling from frozen work? Thanks submitted by /u/Accurate-Machine6901
