Ceramic Apple Watch Rumored to Return With Series 12
Apple is reportedly planning to bring back ceramic casing options for its Apple Watch this year. This feature was previously available on older models, starting with the Series 2 Edition. The ceramic material, known for its durability, was made from compressed zirconia and alumina powder. It was marketed as being significantly harder than stainless steel. Apple offered both white and gray ceramic finishes in earlier Series. However, the ceramic option was eventually discontinued in 2020. It has since become a desirable finish among collectors. Recent reports from notable leakers suggest its return is imminent. The Apple Watch Series 12 is also expected to include a new chip for better performance. This update is anticipated to be unveiled alongside other new Apple products.
