Lenovo has announced a refresh of its Legion gaming laptops at CES 2025, featuring the 10th-generation Legion Pro 7i as the flagship model. The Legion Pro 7i supports up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU and an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, thanks to a cooling system that enables up to 250W thermal design power. It also features up to 64GB of 6400Mhz DDR5 RAM and a built-in LA1+LA3 AI chip. The laptop has a 16-inch WQXGA OLED display with up to a 240Hz frame rate and 1ms response time, and it weighs around 6 lbs. The Legion Pro 7i is expected to launch in March with a starting price of $2,399.
The Legion Pro 5i and Legion Pro 5 offer similar features, including up to an Intel Ultra 9 275HX or AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor, up to 32GB of 6400Mhz DDR5 RAM, and a 16-inch WQXGA OLED screen. However, their thermal power supports up to 200W, and their maximum frame rates are lower at 165Hz. The Legion Pro 5 series will launch in May and June, starting at $1,499 and $1,399, respectively.
Lenovo also announced the 10th-gen Legion 7i, which is designed for gamers in STEM programs and fields, and the 10th-gen Legion 5i, which is targeted at university gamers in non-STEM programs. The Legion 7i supports up to an Intel Ultra 9 275HX processor and RTX 5070 GPU, and has a 16-inch WQXGA OLED screen with up to 240Hz and 1ms. It will be available in June for $1,599. The Legion 5i has up to a 15.1-inch WQXGA OLED screen and supports up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, and will launch in May for $1,299.
