Satechi unveiled its first Thunderbolt 5 product, the CubeDock, a multi-functional docking station. This dock includes an integrated SSD enclosure, adding storage capacity to your setup. The CubeDock utilizes Thunderbolt 5 technology, offering impressive 80Gb/s bi-directional bandwidth and a 120Gb/s Bandwidth Boost. The dock's aluminum design complements Apple devices, while a 180W power supply supports high-powered laptops. It features a range of ports, including USB-C, USB-A, audio, SD/microSD card slots, and an Ethernet port for versatile connectivity. The built-in NVMe SSD enclosure supports up to 8TB of storage with active cooling for optimal performance. The CubeDock supports multiple high-resolution displays, including three 8K displays on Windows or two 6K displays on Macs. Satechi is also releasing a new Thunderbolt 5 Pro cable, supporting 80Gb/s data transfer and 240W power delivery. The Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock is available for pre-order at $400, with shipments expected in the first quarter of 2026.
