CES 2024 was dominated by AI and robotic products, with sustainability offerings requiring a dedicated search. While the number of sustainability-focused booths increased, many were filled with energy providers and battery manufacturers, not exclusively eco-friendly products. Despite a smaller presence, several innovative sustainability solutions were showcased. Among them was Shine Turbine 2.0, a portable wind turbine for personal device charging. Flint demonstrated cellulose-based batteries that significantly degrade in compost environments. Clear Drop offered a compactor for soft plastics, turning them into manageable bricks for recycling. Alpha Power by CPTI presented flexible perovskite solar panels that can generate energy from indoor light. Green Vigor showcased systems to harness energy from building water and HVAC systems. Jackery introduced a modular solar gazebo capable of producing substantial power. Bluetti featured a power station made with bio-based plastic and an RV solar system. Airloom displayed a more efficient, mass-reduced wind turbine for industrial use. Gaotu exhibited a variety of solar-powered products, from hats to car roof enclosures. Segway presented new e-bikes, including a versatile cargo model. Although sustainability tech was not a central theme, these companies offered promising innovations for the future.
