ChatGPT's Apple Health Integration Now Rolling Out to U.S. Users
OpenAI has launched its Health in ChatGPT feature in the United States. This new capability allows ChatGPT to access and analyze user-connected health data. Sources include medical records and Apple Health, with user permission. The feature can compare lab results, summarize health changes, track medications, and explore lifestyle impacts on health. By integrating this context, ChatGPT can offer more personalized and useful responses. For instance, it can suggest restaurants considering dietary restrictions or activity plans accounting for injuries. Users can ask follow-up questions and correct information provided by ChatGPT. The primary goal is to help users understand their health data in context and monitor changes over time. This feature is available to logged-in users aged 18 and above in the U.S. on web and iOS, across all ChatGPT subscription plans. Importantly, connected health data and conversations will not be used to train OpenAI models or for targeted advertising.
