Check out the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s guts in iFixit’s latest teardown

A new teardown video by iFixit reveals the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold to be remarkably repairable. The video and blog post showcase the phone's internals, including detailed CT scans. Google has made repair easier by providing official guides and replacement parts. iFixit commends the Pixel 9 Pro Fold's modular design, noting the easily replaceable USB-C port and SIM card tray. The use of 3IP screws throughout also garnered praise. Both the outer screen and back cover can be removed without a heat gun, requiring only prying tools. However, the batteries proved difficult to remove with their pull tabs. Removing the folding screen intact also proved impossible. The iFixit blog post features an interactive, rotatable scan of the phone for a closer look at its components.
