CIRP Survey Suggests 78 Percent of All Apple Customers Own an iPad

CIRP conducted a survey of Apple customers to understand the performance of iPhone, iPad, and Mac products. The survey focused on the power of Apple's ecosystem, determined by customers who own multiple products. According to the survey, 94% of recent Apple customers own an iPhone, followed by 78% who own an iPad, and 36% who own a Mac computer. A significant 74% of customers own both an iPad and an iPhone, while only 30% own all three products. The popularity of iPads is notable, which may indicate that they are held onto for longer than iPhones. If iPads were replaced as frequently as iPhones, Apple's iPad revenue would be closer to iPhone revenue, but it is not the case. In fact, iPhone revenue is 7 times iPad revenue, and Mac revenue is slightly ahead of iPad revenue. However, the survey's credibility is questionable, given CIRP's history of publishing dubious surveys. For instance, a previous survey claimed that the Mac Pro accounted for 43% of all Mac desktop sales, which is highly unlikely. As a result, it is difficult to trust the findings of CIRP's surveys.
