CISA Strengthens Commitment to SLTT Governments

CISA is implementing a new model to enhance cybersecurity for state, local, tribal, and territorial governments. This approach focuses on shared responsibility and empowers these entities to lead their own cyber defenses. CISA will continue to provide crucial support through various means. Grant funding from DHS, administered by CISA and FEMA, will remain available through programs like SLCGP and TCGP. Additionally, SLTT partners will still receive no-cost services and tools. These include Cyber Hygiene scanning, phishing assessments, and vulnerability management capabilities. Cybersecurity Performance Goals and the Cybersecurity Evaluation Tool will help prioritize and track progress. Regional Cybersecurity Advisors and Coordinators will offer localized expertise and support. Professional services such as vulnerability assessments and incident response coordination will also be available. Bi-monthly SLTT Security Operations Center calls will provide ongoing cyber defense updates. This initiative underscores CISA's commitment to its role as the nation's primary cyber defense agency.
