ClamAV Vulnerabilities Affecting Cisco Products: July 2026

Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in ClamAV that could allow remote attackers to cause denial-of-service conditions. These vulnerabilities specifically interrupt ClamAV scanning operations. Cisco has released software updates to address these security flaws. Unfortunately, there are no workarounds available to mitigate these vulnerabilities. The Security Impact Rating is High for Windows platforms due to the ClamAV scanning process running with elevated privileges. This especially affects Cisco Secure Endpoint Connector for Windows. On Linux and Mac platforms, the Security Impact Rating is Medium. This is because ClamAV runs with lower privileges on these operating systems. Affected Linux and Mac platforms include Secure Endpoint Connector. Cisco Secure Endpoint Private Cloud itself is not vulnerable. However, the Cisco Secure Endpoint Connector software distributed from the device is impacted. Further details and affected CVEs are available in the advisory.
