Claude’s new Learning mode will prompt students to answer questions on their own

A survey reveals that a significant 86% of global university students use AI for coursework. Anthropic has launched "Claude for Education" to help universities shape AI's role in education. The core feature is a new Learning mode in Claude that guides students towards solutions rather than giving direct answers. Claude employs the Socratic method, prompting students to analyze their reasoning. This functionality is powered by Anthropic's 3.7 Sonnet model and integrated with Claude's Projects feature. Claude for Education is accessible to Pro users with .edu emails and is partnered with several universities. Anthropic is also introducing a Claude Campus Ambassadors program for students. They are also awarding API credits to student projects utilizing Claude. Finally, Anthropic is collaborating with Instructure to integrate AI tools into teaching platforms.
