Coming soon to Shifts: Create open shifts across multiple locations

Microsoft Teams is introducing a new feature called "Open Shifts Across Locations" in public preview, which aims to enhance flexibility and efficiency for both managers and workers. This feature allows managers to post open shifts across multiple teams and locations, helping to balance workforce needs and fill last-minute gaps. Managers can approve or decline shift requests from employees at other locations, and once approved, the workers will appear in the schedule as external employees. For workers, this feature provides more flexibility to pick up open shifts at different locations that suit their schedules. They can view open shifts at other sites and submit a request to pick up the shift, which will be approved by the manager at that location. This feature helps optimize staffing, enhance worker flexibility, and improve overall operational efficiency. To join the public preview program and get early access to this feature, follow the steps on the Microsoft Teams public preview page.
