Discontinuation of Levothyroxine—Reply
In Reply We thank Dr Kaneda for this clinically relevant question dedicated to optimize thyroid treatment in adults aged 60 years or older. Given the debate about lifelong levothyroxine use in adults aged 60 years or older, we conducted an open-label, single-group, prospective study to determine the proportion of people who took thyroxine who could discontinue treatment while maintaining acceptable thyroid function.
