Discord introduces a feature to ignore rather than block users

Discord launched a new "Ignore" feature, allowing users to mute interactions with specific individuals without blocking them. This feature hides new messages, DMs, notifications, profiles, and activity from ignored users. Ignored DMs appear grayed-out in the inbox but remain accessible if desired. Similar behavior applies to messages within servers. A warning appears if joining a voice or video chat with an ignored user. Ignoring someone doesn't notify them of the action. This feature offers a less severe alternative to blocking, addressing community requests for more nuanced interaction control. Activating Ignore is possible through various methods, including account avatar menus. A comprehensive list of ignored and blocked accounts is accessible in User Settings. Detailed instructions on using the Ignore feature are available in Discord's Help Center.
