Django Weblog: DjangoCon Africa 2025 Heads to Arusha ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฟ

DjangoCon Africa is returning in 2025 and will take place in Arusha, Tanzania from August 11-15. The second edition of the conference builds on the success of the inaugural event held in Zanzibar in 2023, which welcomed over 200 attendees from 22 countries. The 2025 event promises five action-packed days of talks, workshops, sprints, and networking opportunities. The conference will feature diverse talks, hands-on training, and code sprints, as well as a special Django Girls workshop for women interested in web development. Attendees will have the chance to meet developers, designers, educators, and innovators from across the continent and celebrate African tech talent. This year's event will also co-host UbuCon Africa, a regional gathering of Ubuntu users and contributors, from August 13-15. The conference is open to attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers, and tickets are now available. DjangoCon Africa aims to celebrate community, learning, and open source, and is built by and for people across Africa and beyond. The event promises to be a powerful statement about the growing diversity and strength of the African tech ecosystem. By attending, participants can shape the future of Django and be part of a global initiative that has introduced thousands of women to Django.
