EccDNA atlas in male mice reveals features protecting genes against transcription-induced eccDNA formation

Extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) can drive cancer and other age-related diseases. Here, Liang et al. present an atlas of eccDNA in mammals, and demonstrate that the number of eccDNA increases logarithmically as a function of transcript levels.
