Exclusive poll: Most voters back Iran strikes, but worry about attacks on U.S.

A new poll finds that American voters have mixed feelings about the US attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, with a majority supporting limited strikes but also worrying about a wider war and Iranian retaliation. Most voters view the attacks as a success and would back similar military action in the future. Republicans overwhelmingly approved of the bombings, while Democrats and independents were more divided. However, support increased across all groups when they were told the bombings targeted Iran's uranium enrichment for its nuclear program. The poll also found that voters are concerned about the potential for a wider war and Iranian attacks on US soil. Despite these concerns, a majority of voters would support similar airstrikes in the future, seeing them as a manageable risk. The poll also revealed that voters are skeptical of Israel's influence on American foreign policy and are more inclined to arm Ukraine than Israel. Overall, the survey suggests that Americans have nuanced views on war and foreign policy, and that support for military action can increase when the strategic rationale is understood.
